Army of Two: The 40th Day Hits Early Next Year

EA has announced the release date for the(maybe) eagerly anticipated Army of Two sequel, The 40th Daym for A January 12nd release next year in the North America. The game will ship four days earlier for it Euro debut on January 8th. The sequel will see the ultimate two man wrecking crew/army stuck in Shanghai as things start to fall apart due to an unexpected attack on the city. They must work together as the city descends into chaos and are relentlessly attacked by their enemies.

It looks like they aren't going to short change to people who pre-order this game either because it will net you exclusive access to the 'Extraction' mulitplayer mode until it unlocks a months later. It isn't clear if it will have to be paid for, or it will just be free DLC. Hopefully it's the latter, paying for a mulitplayer mode is ridiculous(Capcom).

There a load of links attached to the press release for those interested, they say this one is going to be better than the first and I certainly hope they are right. Army of Two certainly didn't ring my bell when it was released but that could have been because of the numerous problems I had with the game. I am always willing to give a game at least a fair shake, so we will see how this one plays out.
